VERO BEACH Piper Aircraft Inc. sold the same number of planes during the first quarter of 2008 compared to the prior year, however the company's revenue increased slightly, a report from the General Aviation Manufacturers Association showed Friday.
Piper revenues reached an estimated $33.15 million in the first quarter of 2008, up slightly from the $32.56 million in the first quarter of 2007, but lower than the $49.36 million recorded during the fourth quarter last year.
For the quarter, 43 Piper planes were sold, unchanged from the 43 sold during the first quarter of the prior year, but lower than the 55 sold in the last quarter of 2007.
